The October meeting of Hesketh Conclave was always going to be a busy one, being the Enthronement meeting and it also being a Team Visit the members clearly had a lot on their plate.

Undaunted by the work already in hand, the Conclave then decided to admit a new Knight in advance of the Enthronement work.
Knights from all over the Division along with the Divisional Intendent General, R.Ill Kt Graham Edwin Williams, his Deputy V.Ill Kt Stephen Mark Gregory the team and Sepulchre Guard led by Ill. Kt. Jason Nash assembled at Chorley Masonic Hall in readiness of busy evening of Red Cross Masonry.
The Conclave was opened by the Puissant Sovereign Jon Measures assisted by his Eusebius P.Kt. Vic Parker and Marshal Ill. Kt. Derek Alty. In no time at all, the admin had been discharged and the Knights had paid due respect to two past members who had been called to higher service since our last meeting.
The ballot was taken for our candidate and a joining member.
Then it was time for the Intendent General to be escorted into the Conclave under the direction of the Divisional Marshal Ill Kt. Darren Brown an arch of steel provided by the guard.
The Intendent General introduced the team and following Salutations we were on with the first productive item of business, that was to welcome Jason Nash as a member of the Conclave. Following on quickly we set about installing Peter Allen as a Red Cross Knight, a ceremony worked in fine style by the Sovereign and members of the Conclave. The Intendent General carried out the accolade and the Deputy explained the Signs. A ceremony which must have impressed Peter.
Our attention soon turned to the Enthronement of Vic Parker as Sovereign and Alan Smith as Viceroy. Both of which were executed by the current office holders.
Officers were invested and the remaining business conducted before the Conclave was closed and we retired to the dinning room to enjoy a meal prepared and served by the catering staff. And very nice it was.
The wine takings and toasts were comprehensive but time efficient and we were soon dispersing into the cool night air on our way home content in a job well done.
